Birthdays, Valentines Day & Pancakes Gallore

8F7C0D29-CFB4-4741-8E45-AFE9118E1F80February seems to come by so fast once Christmas and New Year are out of the way! Before I know it, it’s time to celebrate Gavin’s Birthday. This year Gavin and I went to a new restaurant in the local area. We had the night off from Tobias and we we’re able to stay out a little later than usual. The food was exceptional, I had a prawn starter, duck main and chocolate brownie for dessert whilst Gavin had spring rolls for starter, burger for main and eton mess as his dessert . My brother had recommended the place to us and what a great place it was.

Valentine’s Day went by in a flash and we did nothing! We didn’t even acknowledge it! Note to self, must try harder next year! I would love some easy ideas of how to celebrate this day but unfortunately can’t come up with anything! Gavin had gone to a Holstein meeting, so it was just me and Tobias that evening. I do hope Gavin knows I appreciate everything he does and I also hope he knows that I love him more today, than I did yesterday and I’ll probably love him a little bit more tomorrow! Tobias made a valentines card at nursery on the actual day and was able to bring it home, he was very proud, which was very cute but I imagine it was hard work making the card with him and keeping his concentration the whole time!

It was also Pancake Day this month and typically I forgot all about it until the last minute. So we are going to make it mandatory to have pancakes for tea – well as a dessert from now on! In the end Tobias wasn’t even interested and didn’t like them! Such a fail, but we shall try again next year and hope for better results! I was thinking we should go out to a pancake house to at least celebrate the day, thankfully there’s a pancake house at Center parks when we go so we shall make up for it when we go on holiday!

I’m looking forward to a quieter month in March. But first we are taking a break away in the Lake District so I’m prepping for that at the moment, planning on what to take with us and what activities we’ll be able to get up to when we get there.

Much love
