Brief Start/First Impressions
I fell in love with the denim style travel system from Cybex. It can be purchased individually or as a 3-in-1 travel system, including the Balios S pushchair, a Carry Cot and a Cybex car seat. The seat unit is appropriate from birth up to 17 kg. Whilst the Car Seat and Carrycot are from Birth to 9 kg. The denim design gives it a chic look. The pushchair won the Reddot award in 2018 and together with the carry cot are proven to be user friendly and high quality. The easy one-handed folding mechanism into a compact self-standing unit is brilliant and handy when you have your hands full. The big all-terrain wheels have a smooth suspension for all surfaces. The pushchair has a reclining mechanism for lying back for nap times or if you prefer the spacious car seat is a bed on wheels for baby’s comfort, as it can be extended out.
Features and benefits
With three backrest positions to ensure your child is always comfortable. The recline function offers a full lie-flat position.

The seat unit can be parent-facing or forward-facing. Reversing the seat unit is quick and easy.
The foot rest can be adjusted to suit baby’s comfort. The bumper bar can be removed if required too. The adjustable height handle bar with four height variations that can suit everyone’s needs.
The chair unit seems to be padded out for comfort.
All-wheel suspension allows for a smooth ride. It’s even got front wheels that lock for stability on uneven surfaces.
The shopping basket underneath can store up to 5kg and I love that it’s spacious enough for all my bits.
It really is a pushchair built for durability.
It has a lock secure to ensure it doesn’t pop open unexpectedly when you pick it up to put into the car.
What Gavin and I Think
The Balios S was surprisingly easy to assemble, and required no tools. it’s also a very light and very easy to store pushchair, that fits in the boot of the car, or can stand up out of the way in a corridor. The wheels don’t track too much mud and dirt, and are easily cleaned.
The stroller comes with a badly designed rain cover, which has a hole in the middle of the plastic window so Hamish always got wet! I’ve since bought a better universal rain cover!
The seat adapters allow you to attach a cybex car seat to the chassis to form a travel system, transferring sleeping baby from car to stroller, without having to wake them. Having tried this, Hamish was perfectly happy meaning its excellent for short trips.
Overall Feedback
Overall impressions, it’s a great travel system. Each piece, has been designed with parent & child in mind. Safety and comfort were all priority and the style is chic. We have been using ours non stop since Hamish was born.
