Recent Events Sept/Oct 2019

As a family we have had such a busy September and October, in fact generally, life is starting to get busier the closer we get to baby number three’s arrival.  I always knew this was the case and it’s certainly proving to help pass the weeks fast.  I aren’t complaining though, I’d rather be busy than twiddling my thumbs!  So I thought I would share some of the memories with you from recent events.

Our Wedding Anniversary was on the 05 September 2019 and we received some thoughtful gifts and cards from our family and friends.  Four years of marriage and we have accomplished so much, as well as experiencing a lot of changes in both our lives, it’s definitely a time for reflection for the both us.  We went out for a meal together, to The Ivy in Harrogate, and I also went through the pictures of our wedding day.

On the 12th September 2019, it was our second scan date at twenty weeks (although I was a little further on at the time).  All went well and it was lovely to see the little baby again.  I’m planning on booking another 4D scan in November as we don’t have any others through the NHS now.

On the 23 September 2019, it was our local show, Nidderdale Show . Gavin showed some dairy cows as usual. But this year, the boys and I didn’t go as I didn’t have a car (the Nissan Quashqui was having it’s MOT before we sold it).  Overall Gavin did very well and came home with lots of rosettes and trophies, which was fab news and a proud moment for the whole family.

On the 28th September 2019, we picked up our new car, a landrover discovery sport – it was a full day as the car was down in Rotherham, so the boys stayed with their nana and it was just a day out for Gavin and I!

We went on holiday on the 30th September 2019 to Center Parcs, it was a fab trip and now Tobias is over two years old there’s a lot of activities that he can get in loved with.  My birthday was on the Friday, 4th October 2019, the day we came back. So we spent the morning packing to come home and went out for breakfast at the pancake house.  We then took one last stroll around Whinfell before setting off home.  We stopped off at York designer outlet to look for some presents (for myself) and had a late lunch/early tea whilst we were there.  We then came home, put the boys to bed and had a chilled night in front of the television, catching up on a weeks worth of saved programmes.

The following day, 5th September 2019, we visited Masham Sheep Fair.  It was lovely, just like any other local show but dedicated to sheep.  Lots of stalls and exhibitors to look around and the boys loved the Morris dancers.  I won’t be going back again in a rush but I’m so glad that we went for the experience.

Things don’t look to be slowing down anytime soon, what with birthdays, bonfire night, Halloween, a couple of nights out for Gavin and I.  Then Christmas and New Year are on the horizon, closely followed by baby arriving, it’s all going to get very exciting!

Much love
Rebecca
