Review of Amazon Fire Tablet for Children

Let’s start by saying, this is a very taboo subject. Some people feel children shouldn’t be given technology, whilst others do. Personally I think it’s a great choice, especially something designed and aimed at young children. In my opinion technology, it is a part of our world now and there’s no getting away from it, therefore there’s a time and a place for it. I feel if it is introduced in a structured way with limits in place and monitoring from a responsible person, there isn’t a problem. The earlier they’re introduced to it the more we can make them aware of the bad side of the internet too.

My husband and I were wanting to get a tablet for my oldest son but didn’t know what age to buy him it. In the end after much research we decided we would purchase one for his second birthday and we have done so for Hamish too. I plan on keeping this up going forward, however both boys haven’t shown much interest in their tablets until two and a half onwards.

If you are looking for something that will be educational and entertaining at the same time, the amazon fire tablet for children sounded perfect, from what I read. The tablet offers up to 6 profiles and you can set each child in their own age range so they get the apps that are age appropriate. There are over 20,000 apps already installed in the tablet for children. There are apps for games, books, audio books, videos, and education, as well as Nickelodeon, Disney and so much more. You get access to this free (unlimited) for 1 year, after that it’s just a couple of pounds per month, which is definitely worth it!

Theres a parental dashboard where you are able to edit their profile, age range, when you want the tablet to turn off to have more control over screen time. You can also go into the Amazon store app and download more popular games that aren’t already installed into the tablet. The tablet offers a great warranty plan, endless amounts of learning and entertainment and it works anywhere. The battery life lasts up to 10 hours too.
