It’s always good to reflect on the past year and think about the future. 2021 has been a busy year, yet we haven’t done many of our regular activities (like holidays)! but it’s made me want to write a list more than ever to jot down some goals to try achieve in 2022. Most of the ones I set for 2020 and 2021 have not happened (for obvious reasons) so I have transferred them into this list:
1. Have a baby! This one happens in the first quarter of the year and will dictate much of the rest of the year too and I’d we manage to achieve anything!
2. I would love to think Gavin and I could go on some “date nights” – this has been on my list for the last two years, I wanted to make it a monthly thing! I don’t think logistically with four young lads this is going to happen, at all! So I’m going to change this to a sit down meal at home or takeaway once a month at least!
3. Another must for this year is a new suite for the living room! Ours has springs coming out the back and is super uncomfortable to sit on now, it eats you and you end up lying down without even trying! So this is an aim for the Easter holidays to have ordered.
4. I would like to get out into the countryside more, such as going for walks or exploring new places we haven’t been before. Were always good at this, living on a farm , but for 2022 I would like to continue and explore further afield!
5. I would like to get away on a UK holiday this year with my family. We have a holiday booked for August to Sherwood Forest, Center Parks. As Tobias is now at school, it’s proving more difficult to fit in with school holidays.
6. I hope to get my life in order this year. I guess this is all around my organisation such as sorting out my whole life, including meal planning, scheduling, outfits, jobs to do that day and cleaning. Along with the boys routine too (which is currently ever changing on a daily basis) – I feel like this is a never ending goal and will be forever changing so let’s just leave it as it is, I’ve already made a start by putting my 2022 calendar together and adding birthdays etc into it.
7. Fitness – surprise, surprise! It’s on my list AGAIN. My aim is to lose the baby weight once #4 is 8 weeks old and I’ve been signed off by my GP. Fitness is my way to get away from the stresses of day to day and get motivated to just do life!
8. House – as always (and I’m sure you’ve realised) there’s plenty of jobs to get on with around the house so I’m making it my mission to complete a couple of rooms/areas this year. The hallway and the garden, in particular for 2022.
9. Finally, I would like to grow my blog and Instagram. I’m going to try make more of an effort to get good content out there, that people would like to see– I hope you have enjoyed seeing my little space over the past year, I’ve got plenty of content planned for 2022 too!
I’d love to hear your plans for 2022, maybe I could even add them to my list!
Much love Rebecca
