Center Parcs Packing List

After visiting Whinfell Center Parcs a number of times in the last few years, I feel i usually have a good list together of what we need to take with us. This time however we’re going for a shorter amount of time, and I’ll have four boys with me so trying to remember what we need and what’s vital is proving difficult to establish. But I thought writing my own list might help and inspire other people of what to take. So we are going from Friday to Monday. We’re planning on picking the boys up from school and heading straight up to Whinfell centre parcs, which would mean hopefully we get there for 5pm. There is snow due, so I have to take that into consideration, or at least it’s going to be a super cold one.

Each of the boys will need a pair of pyjamas, tops, socks and trousers for the Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Also they each need a coat, gloves and a hat, Jonas will want his all in one too. Tobias and Hamish will need underwear whilst Seth and Jonas will need nappies and wipes for the duration. Each of them will want their swimming kits and Google’s too. I want to take one camera for jonas, at bedtime, And I always find it useful to take a book each for the boys and a toy each too. I’ll definitely be taking a pair of boots for each of the boys and I can’t decide if I need to take wellies too. I’ll need to take toothbrushes and toothpaste, and also wanted to take their body wash and shampoo.

Jonas, as extras, will need vests, swim nappies and cot bedding. We’re also taking a float to the pool for Jonas. He’ll also need some milk powder and bottles for his nighttime feeds. We aren’t planning on having bikes this time, so definitely need to take the pushchair and the baby carrier. It’s always a safe bet to take some First Aid items with us like Calpol, paracetamol and plasters.

I will need deodorant, perfume, hairbrush, bobbles, dry shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, face wash, moisturiser, make up, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a shaver. Phone charger and obviously my phone, money and iPad. As well as underwear, bras, socks, trousers, tops, coat, hat, gloves, scarf, pjs, boots and trainers. My swimming kit too. Gavin will probably need something similar but he can sort himself out (Famous last words).

And the other ad-hoc bits would include towels for around the pool for each of us, The baby bag and food treats for the journey. Now, I can’t decide whether to pick up the food shop before we go or once we’re there. It worked really well last time getting our food shop from the Center Parcs supermarket, but that was because we didn’t have any space in the car and I can’t decide if we need to do that again or if I should do the shop beforehand.

I’m really looking forward to our little break away where we can have some much needed downtime. I also hope this list helps you, if you ever head to a Center Parcs in the future.

Much love Rebecca

  1. I remember these lists! Be sure to give the older boys backpacks to share some of the load. They’ll be happy to help. Have them collect all the books for bedtime or something.
